How to Install Windows 7 on Mac

In this post is discussed about how to get Windows 7 installed and running on your Mac in just a few quick steps by following our simple installation guide. I have already shared the steps for the installation of windows 7 in my previous post “How to install windows 7

How do you install Windows on your Mac?

First of all you are going to need to buy a copy of Windows. Right now there is a debate on whether XP or Windows 7 is best to put on the Mac. Whatever you do, don't buy Vista as this is too problematic.

There are two processes that you can do that will get Windows on your Mac. The first is to install it with the program called Parallels. What this does is allow you to dual boot on your system.

What this means is that when you start up your system, you will have the option of starting your computer up in OSX or in Windows. This is best when you need to use 100% of your system resources for Windows versus sharing them. If you are playing Windows games, this is the set up that you are going to want to use.

The other option is to virtualize Windows. This means using a program like VMware or Virtual Box. What this does is install Windows inside your current operating system. You will be able to boot up in Windows while using OSX. This is good if you need to open a Windows program up for a bit to use it but don't want to completely reboot your entire system.
